Mary first approached me saying she wanted to do a really fun downtown Phoenix couples session at The Churchill and then walk over to Roosevelt Row. When I heard this, I knew it was going to be an exciting couples session. We first arrived at The Churchill in downtown Phoenix, it was filled with beautiful murals and greenery accent walls.
The location had different restaurants and bars to choose from. During Mary and Ryan’s session, they had a chance to grab a beer and play corn whole. I think this was a great way to let couples have fun and let loose during their photoshoot. Downtown Phoenix couples sessions don’t need to be boring and stiff we can go out and explore.
After we were done at The Churchill they did a quick outfit change, Where they both put on all-white suits. I said, ” Your outfits are giving me wedding vibes” and we continued to walk over to Roosevelt Row. This is where we found over 15 different murals. I love being able to walk around downtown Phoenix and find all the different backdrops. You will get a variety of images in your final gallery.
My favorite mural from downtown Phoenix is the one that has lots of colored strips. Blue, pink, yellow, green, and purple, it made for a gorgeous backdrop. After we were done capturing these bright and airy intimate moments another couple walking around downtown Phoenix by The Churchill said, “Congratulations on your wedding.” Mary and Ryan just laughed because they are not engaged yet but I see wedding bells in their future. This session was one of my favorites because we got to mix things up and just have a fun night doing a Downtown Phoenix Couples Session at The Churchill.
A sweet massage from the couple:
“My honey Ryan and I did our very first couples photoshoot with Makayla and these photos are once I will treasure forever. Working with Makayla was wonderful! She really brought a lot of fun and had us at ease from the moment we met. We had a blast during the shoot, not to mention her talent in capturing the true moments of spark and love that she captured in the photos. I highly recommend Makayla. Not only is she a genuinely sweet person, but she has a real gift for capturing love on camera.”
